Golden Dawn issues anti-Semitic diatribe against AJC’s David Harris during Greece visit

ATHENS, Greece (JTA) -- The Greek neo-Nazi party Golden Dawn said a visit to Greece by American Jewish Committee leader David Harris is meant to ensure further “Jewish influence over Greek political issues” and safeguard the interests of “international loan sharks.”

Harris, the executive director of the AJC, is leading a Jewish delegation to the region that is meeting with several Greek leaders, including Prime Minister Antonis Samaras. During the meetings, Harris expressed his "concern and solidarity for Greece during the crisis."

The statement from Golden Dawn, posted on the party's website Thursday, slammed the Greek government for giving Harris high-level access. “Just from the meetings, one can understand the influence of international Judaism on the Greek political scene,” the statement said. “The political leadership will once again express its total subjugation to the whims of the ‘chosen’ people."

It also derided Harris.

"The only solidarity of this gentleman is to his compatriots -- the international loan sharks, who are humiliating the Greek people. His concern most likely is related to the inability of Greece make the payments of the predatory interest rates of the vile loans,” it said. “We do not need the crocodile tears of a Jew.”

If the Golden Dawn is truly nationalist - as they claim they are - they would treat with a bit of respect those who express "concern and solidarity for Greece during the crisis.". We need friends at a time like this.

Perhaps these brave young men in black shirts are still under the influence of the anti-Israeli (Andreas) Papandreism that they grew up with?

I agree with what you have to say, however how does a leader of a specific group gets an audience with the Prime Minister, while elected leaders like Putin who has openly expressed an interest in helping Greece financially are completely ignored?
Their concern is a valid one because they suggest how does a regular citizen of another country gets such a high level clearance so quickly.
The problem here is not Golden Dawn's reaction, but rather, whose interest does David Harris represent!

I agree wholeheartedly that president Putin should have been greeted with open arms in Greece.
The cold shoulder given him could only have been dictated from one direction...

They say that Kostas Karamanlis' desire to accommodate Russia with the pipeline brought down his government.

Samaras will not duplicate that mistake.

What people say and what they actually do or intend are COMPLETELY different things.
I will say that the majority of Jews are upstanding people, but the one's in control are evil, disgusting people.

I will give you one name, look into it and you will see that GD is 100% right.. look up Rothschild and see if you think they are crazy.
